I read that around the turn of the century, the pawpaw was named the fruit with the most potential over cranberries and blueberries.

would be Interesting to do so

Looking at old literature about this stuff can be good
some JSTOR link in 1948 talks about Triploids found among Wild paw paws , and lists the location
(but not exact) one being ILLiopolis Illinois ( Springfield IL. )
