Black Raspberry Compote on ice cream

Yesterday evening, after picking some Jewel and Niwot black raspberries, I cooked some down with sugar until nice and thick. The family immediately ate it over vanilla ice cream.

The little that was left over, I heated up and served over ice cream for dessert after lunch today. Here’s a poor pic.

The dessert was absolutely delicious.

hopefully i get enough this year to make some from my ohio treasures! looks awesome! i put some made from my consort black currants that was fabulous also.
