CSU Extension has info in growing BBs in bales of peat. Saw sn article on same from Pete Tallman, back around 1999. Looks like a way to get around high pH soil/water

I’m growing Sunshine Blue and Pink Lemonade in pots. They got a little haggard until I added sulphur to the pots, now they’re lookin’ pretty. Sunshine Blue is currently in its second fruit set. Here’s some pics of the first fruit set:
