Well! Sorry to see the misunderstandings here, I didn’t think this would go in this direction. I hope we’re all good now…

I think our HS will be OK, I think it finished most of its pollination before the Silver Queen started tasseling, so I don’t think it’ll be an issue. But, I will remember this discussion next year, try to be more careful.

Another question for anyone, we don’t have the freezer space for storing so much corn, that is, if we get a lot to harvest. We’ll probably have to can most of it. For those canners out there, how do you process yer sweet corn?

And, for the corn we do end up freezing, do y’all just cut the cobs in half and store them in freezer bags? Or, do you cut off the kernels, and blanch them in hot water, then dump them in cold water, rinse, and then into the bags they go?

Just curious, as we’re getting pretty close to harvest time.
