Why do you have a wire fence around this tree and not the others? And what is it for anyways?
If I were to hazard a guess, it’s to keep the dog off the thorns.

To keep the dog from chewing on unripe jujubes, which contain cyanide.
The dog merits fencing them all off, but I haven’t found enough round-to-its to complete the job.

Our tree has produced a few extra large fruits this year. Here’s one of them with a few of average size on the right.
