Monsoon should be showing up…lower the temps, but raise the humidity. That is ugly though. 120F. That would be tough grocery shopping in. How do you buy frozen goods? Bring a cooler/ice? My chocolate bars would be liquid.

Look at the moisture in the air down in Iowa…love me some 80F dew points…that is like a sauna.

Dew point was 76 degrees here about 7 pm. No breeze at all. Lets just say I will do the non critical chores in the morning!

They’re calling for 92 tomorrow, with a heat index 10 degrees above that. Could be the hottest so far this year. It was sticky today, but cloudy and breezy, so it was tolerable, even tho I had to change shirts.
I gotta mow tomorrow, it’s way too tall, and it’s supposed to rain Thu, so I have no choice. Will prob be a two shirt day!

Starting to wonder when/if the rain gets in here. Sure looks to be staying south of here…NE Iowa getting hammered, along with S WI///S MN. That area around Dubuque must be pushing several inches.

We normally don’t see rain this time of year and this is no exception. Hot and Dry but not a drought. Glad to get this perfect pear and blackberry ripening weather. 90’s and upper 90s typically move towards triple digits shortly.

Hot and humid day and night for the last month. Haven’t had to do any watering either, as the heavy rains have good timing. Phenomenal growth, the plants really seems to like it.

Yeah was definitely moist here yesterday and also today. There was a isolated storm with a tornado in it headed directly for us last night but fortunately it died out quickly. I have not heard reports of anyone hurt but the news had videos of it on the ground.
I saw the remnants of that tornado as a disorganized funnel cloud right smack out my west-facing front window. Here is a sped-up GIF of the video I took. My wife and son were in the basement.
