Ha, it’s not about the price, it’s that I’ve never seen a ripe Flavor King at a store–it would just be worth it for the gustatory experience!

The one I bought wasn’t fully ripe but after few days sitting on the countertop, it got way more juicier and sweeter.

I went back to the store and all their FKs are in a state of mush on their way to the trash. They have some Dino plums/pluots now.

Well, according to DWN, Geo Pride is a plum x apricot x peach hybrid.

Hmm, probably not worth the detour then. I just picked up some Honey Punch pluots at the local organic grocery, and they were disappointing. Gorgeous color, nice texture, but not a lot of flavor…

I agree on Honey Punch. It seems to be one of the few widely available here right now.
