It was unripe Gold Rush I had to remove due to black rotted spot on it. The seeds were tan, not brown, flesh very hard so I had to slice it thin. But I was really surprised, how sweet, intense, and not mealy the taste was for so unripe apple! I think I may got a favorite from all of my future apples.

Congrats. I’ve also heard that this apple keeps really well in storage. I have at least a month wait for mine.
