Important relationships between endobacteria and arbuscular mycorrhizae

I did some early work on siderophores, iron-binding compounds produced by many bacteria and fungi to accumulate iron when it is chemically unavailable. One such molecule, pseudobactin, was produced by a Pseudomonas bacterium which had been shown to stimulate plant growth. That paper again caused me to wish I had continued working in that area.
