Leah-Cot Apriums

I’m interested in how these taste.Unsure if anyone has reported about them. Brady

Probably like an apricot? This hybrid, according to the patent, is the grand-child of Cot-N-Candy Aprium.

Look how big they are now!

I’ve got to ask, is fruit from a small, young potted tree an adequate indicator of quality? I think not, but can be persuaded. :slightly_smiling:

DWN describes this fruit as a big fruit, " sizing 4-5 fruits per pound."

Man those are looking great. What do you think a week or two away? Can’t wait to hear your report on taste.

Three weeks.

I will be ordering a refractometer today.

[sigh] California. No curculios.

Leah-Cot Aprium (left) compared to Flavor Delight Aprium (right).

I think picked it to early. The brix was 10. I will pick the rest of them in about two weeks.

Edit: I’m having trouble posting pictures. Everytime that I click on the photo gallery from my phone, it kicks me out of this page.

I will try to post them at Dave Wilson Nursery Forums.

This one tasted like a soft-dried apple.

Mine are about ready, too. Very large, but then, there are only 2 on my little tree. Ulises, how firm or soft was your fruit before you picked it? Mine still feel awfully firm.

This was very soft. Not very juicy.
