Does anyone know the most effective way to mass produce thousands of mulberry plants? Looking for alternatives and ideas.
Since you have a hedge row of them a stool bed might help but I doubt you could do thousands . Some have success with rooting cuttings . Grafting onto seedlings is a possibility . Eliza Greenman is selling grafted seedlings that have healed and starting to bud . Like a bench graft I guess . So it sounds like you are swamped with requests .
Right now basic cuttings is what I am doing. Wish I started more because I am getting hundreds of requests that I never expected.
No help here. Just curious. What kind of mulberry is driving such attention?
I’m sure you’ve checked, but are there really roots under the soil. I have no problem getting IE to push leaves and growth, but roots are another thing.

I have at least 50 full grown fruiting red mulberries.
Yes, I’ve peeked on two of the three pots and they both had roots. I’m giving them a bit more time to age a bit before separating.
Always reliable for me. One of the reasons I call them World’s Best.
We have some red ones here and the fruits are very tasty.
I could use some red males if you ever start any. My red male is scraggly.
I grafted one this year but used female scion…
So few people are breeding mulberries. Takes a while to prove them out. Would love to start making triple hybrids.
I graft my mulberries from a couple of good trees I have. You can see the trees in this picture http://www.growingfruit.org/t/mulberries-no-work-fruit/1431/34. Here is a mulberry tree I grafted in this thread http://www.growingfruit.org/t/che-mulberry-osage-orange-fig-grafting/2994/176
I think I am going to contact the tissue labs tomorrow.
