New hydroponic grow tank!

Check out my new hydroponic deep water culture set up at the Errol McCoy Greenhouse on the Midway at the State Fair of Texas! It is going to be a permanent fixture of the Big Tex Urban Farms as well a great new exhibit for the Fair.

I’ll post more pics soon. If you live in the DFW area it’s not to late to come check it out. The Fair runs through this Sunday. If you want to check it out in the off season. Message me and we can make arrangements. I am currently growing 5 varieties of lettuce, basil, swiss chard and chives. We made our first harvest this morning and we picked 36 heads of oak leaf lettuce, 72 basil plants, and baby swiss chard! Let me know what you think.

Oh my goodness! Thank you. The stuff we harvested yesterday went directly to a soup kitchen were it will be used to feed the homeless. Getting fresh local produce to a community in need is a great feeling. I can’t wait to do more to create real world impact. Thank you for the compliment. More pics and such coming soon!
