Strawberry recommendation to be kept in rectangular planters. I previously had seascape and they were ok. Would get that again unless someone has a better recommendation. For freah eating and prefer everbearing and not June.

Pertaining directly to the question you asked, Evie 2 is supposed to be an improved Seascape. I can’t tell you how they taste, or even how they might perform over the entire season, because mine are new this season. I planted dormant, but freshly dug starts in containers 3 weeks ago at the same time as some Monterrey. The Evie 2’s have been faster growing and quicker to flower. I planted many more in the ground a week and a half ago. They already have those compact leaf clusters coming out of the crown that hide the flower stalks.
