we have a rescue dog from down south that is believed to be part Catahoula, in part because she has a spotted tongue, but she is a sweetheart. She half-caught her first baby rabbit last summer, after fifteen minutes of trying to decide what to do with him, and she’s terrified of strange dogs (she’s like 40 lbs and got chased off by a 3-month old dachshund at the dog park) but she is very watchful, and loves to smell things, including pressing up against us until her teeth show from mashing her own nose into our jeans if we’ve been out.
