Somewhat relevant bio info - I raised and home educated 8 kids. 4 still at home, 1 in college & 1 still in high school. I now have a batch of engineers, biotech, and medical professionals. Youngest uses a wheelchair and is not independent. I have 5 young grandchildren, 4 who stay w/me and couple of days & nights each week. Kids took over my original veg garden years ago and created many flowering gardens around the property. None designed for long term ease of care. It’s more than I can keep up on my own.
I grow a variety of vegetables successfully from seed started indoors. About a dozen plug flats worth this year.
I have an 8x4x6 1/2’ grow tent in my living room, with banks of HO T5 lights, multi-spectrum LED lights, and heat mats. It’s crammed full during winter & seed sprouting time.
I raise bees and hate being stung.
We have a backyard chicken coop.

DH is retired & lives for fishing. The kids spend a lot of time in and on the water from mid-April through Sept.
Our owners are a Pekingese who is thinks he’s royalty, and an extremely energetic and devoted Corgi.
I suppose I do a lot, but know I could do much better. There is much for me to learn, as well as unlearn. That’s my reason for being here.

I currently have mature: 2 Asian plums, 3 peaches, 3 Brown Turkey fig, 1 pear, 1 almond, 3 blueberries,1 pomegranate, 3 bearing grapevines (All Concord, I believe, thanks to 2 mislabeled pots), loquat.

Not yet fruiting: 4 apple, a pear, 2 peaches, 1 nectarine, 2 cherry, Damson plum, 1 unknown plum (supposedly 5in1 “fruitcocktail”, but all plum), 2 Apache blackberry, 3 fuzzy kiwi, 2 green table grapes, pineapple guava.

New 2015: 5 Prime Ark Freedom blackberries, 20 raspberries (4 varieties), 150 strawberries.

Container grown: 9 various citrus, Black Mission Fig, Kadota Fig, Rhubarb, and pineapples.

Also have well over 300 various landscaping bushes, mostly azalea, tea olive, "“holly”, camelia, and forsythia, along with many hundred daffodils, irises, crinum, amaryllis, canna, elephant ears, and lots of roses. I’m sure there are many not listed.
