Recipe (scale needed).

Obtain a sturdy 5 gallon bucket or similar with lid (essential).
Add:
2.5 lbs Espoma Blood Meal 12-0-0
1.0 lbs Espoma Bone Meal 4-12-0
1.0 lbs Espoma Kelp Meal 1-0-2
1.0 lbs E.B. Stone Sul-Po-Mag 0-0-22

Stir, but not too much. If a significant amount of Sul-Po-Mag sinks to the bottom, remix.
Place the lid on the bucket after each use.

Initial dosage:
4 ounces (weight, not volume) per 20 gal pot every 2-3 months in the first season of usage.
Keep away from tree trunk.
Water each pot after application.

This formulation contains Calcium and Magnesium, thus additional sources of these minerals are not needed.

If leaf burn is noticed after first application, cut dosage in half for the remainder of the season.
If a lackluster response is noticed after 1st season, increase dosage.
Warning: a strong dosage will promote numerous water suckers in Citrus.

Are you using this in combination with the liquid fertilizers from your previous thread?

I’m planning my fig container garden for next season. I have a drip system built and the EZ-Flo fertigation system. I was planning on spoon feeding with the foliage pro product from your previous thread. And supplementing with granular organics.

No. This is a stand-alone year-round recipe for those who prefer organic gardening.

Using supplements with the foliage pro product is not advised, with the possible exception of Epsom Salt. Spoon feeding foliage pro is also not advised due to its composition. It should be diluted in water for soil application. Further, it is not very cost-effective to do so; using foliage pro as a foliar spray is more efficient.

I would like to see where you mixed this. It looks like a standard recipe you grabbed out of mother earth news you never even tried yourself. Can you site your source or show us more hands on here? Your posts lately seem like they are not content you created. We would like to see more of a hands on approach. Show us your scale, mixture etc..

I asked about an organic mix, and he very kindly did the calculations to come up with one I (and anyone) could make to approximate 3-1-2. I’m grateful.
