What’s special about Anya Apricot?
Here in the Puget Sound lowlands
Chinese or Mormon Apricot does better than most.
Overall
Apricot does not do well over here.

Actually, I think the biggest thing about Anya is that it is not propagated for sale, so you have to get some seeds. I bought a box of Anya apricots from Andy’s orchard. They were very good. Far better than anything I have been able to purchase elsewhere. This is probably due to their cultivation and harvest techniques as well as performance of the actual variety, but the brix averaged 22 which is pretty high for an apricot you can purchase.

Apricot does not do that well in the Puget Sound lowlands. We do have Puget Hold, that does ok, but most bloom way too early and ate subject to brown rot and other fungus diseases.

Ok. 35 seeds planted. Only two germinated, but at least I got two…
