Actinidia Chinensis and Arguta cuttings

I just got some Kiwi Cuttings (Ar. Chinensis and Arguta) that are maybe 18 inches long and a pencil thick.
Should I cut these in half before trying to root? My other vines are not big enough for grafting.
Any guidance on rooting these? I have a humidity tent (90% RH) and pro-mix.

The chinensis cuttings are very unlikely to root, but your best bet is to apply bottom heat, while keeping the buds cold and dormant and be very patient. They can take a long time to root. The easiest way to do this is to bury them upside down in sand using 2 or 3 bud cuttings. Put black plastic over the sand (unless it’s hot out), and keep it moist. The surface will heat, while the deeper buds stay cool. Check for roots after a month and keep checking. If you see roots, dig up the cuttings and transplant into soil with the buds up.

The arguta cuttings are much easier. I root mine in water. Just maintain a couple inches of water and change it every few days, under a good light source. Once you have roots, you have to be careful to maintain high humidity when transplanting to soil, and gradually harden off.

I was planning on doing this in my grow room which is heated to 75F to 80F.

I have a lot of grow lights, heat mats and made a humidity tent with a mini plastic greenhouse , a humidistat and and pond foggers. I got bored over the winter. I have tilapia in this room so I need to keep it warm.
