Altus and Mighty Fine muscadines available from Ison's nursery

Altus and Mighty Fine are new releases from Arkansas’ breeding program. Ison’s has them at a price of $18 each. I ordered one of each today along with a Ruby Crisp.

Now I have a problem. I’ve got to figure out where to plant them. :slight_smile:

I’ve been experimenting with space saving on muscadines. I put a 10 foot post in the ground and let the vine go up. Secured it to the top and let it kind of umbrella. So far it has worked fairly well. Wish I had done that with hardy kiwi. They would have been much easier to control.

Ison shipped Altus, Mighty Fine, and Ruby Crisp vines to me today. I should receive them by this weekend. The website shows they are out of stock with the exception of Ruby Crisp.

Looking forward to seeing how well they do over winter! I’m in a similar zone
