Ants eat parafilm M?

Ants normally eat parafilm or am I just lucky?

This is the only one I’ve seen like this

On a persimmon graft

Ants will gnaw through almost anything…including several inches of “Great Stuff” formaldehyde foam!

Steve, TO BE FAIIIIR… (Letterkenny anyone?) ants are, to my knowledge, a pollinator of jujubes and possibly other fruits, even if they are a pain to step on. Even the annoying critters have their place. I believe I read in another topic recently that some plants have actually evolved to produce nodules to emit nectar to fuel their pollinators (not specifically ants, but they may be included? I’m not sure).

I have seen ants pollinating my New Zealand lemonade flowers but after the fruit forms the ants chew it off at the base.
