Any of you ever made apple leaf tea, no apples, only the leaves?

I only saw a couple of references out there but nothing much. Have you ever made tea from your apple leaves? I have a tree that has lots of leaves but no fruit, so I thought I wonder if I could make a tea out of the leaves, just don’t take too many from the tree.

I do not believe there is any good documented use for apple leaves as tea even though there is for many other plants in the Rosaceae. My primary concern would be lack of info on how much cyanide would be released and whether the heat from brewing would sufficiently denature enough of it for safe consumption.
