Any return about grafting the Elaeagnaceae family?

(Elaeagnaceae is the best word ever)

So does any of you have successfully grafted goumi, autumn olive or sea buckthorn, on the same species or one species on another ? If so, what technique did you use ?

There is very little info on the subject on the net.

Two years ago I tried grafting some named cultivars of autumn olive and goumi onto seedling AO. I used bark and whip and tongue grafts at budbreak in spring and only perhaps a quarter worked out, with only the Amber AO. Perhaps I mistimed it, I would like to try again. Rooting summer cuttings is probably the way to go.
