Anybody seen this before?

That is a Galaxy peach or at least it was. Over night it seems the ants attacked a few of the fruit and built a nest inside the fruit. These were undamaged fruit to start with at least I think they were. I have not see them do this before. Anyone else had this happen?

In my experience, ants wait for birds/squirrels to peck the fruit initially and then they move in.

That’s been my experience too until this! That peach is in my greenhouse and definitely was not animal damaged. Unless I missed something there didn’t appear to be any damage at all on these. Dunno.

did you cleanse the peach and its inhabitants from the earth with fire?

Even better. I put on a glove, picked it and threw it in the chicken coop! Bye bye ants!
