Anyone Growing Gravenstein in Eastern VA, NC?

I am finding grower and nursery recommendations for it from the late 1800’s into 1900’s for these southern regions. From England it came into Massachusetts in the 1800’s. Was widely grown in New England up until the harsh winter of 1933-34 that wiped out the Baldwin apple industry. The Gravenstein were damaged as well as it faced major decline after then.

The Gravensteins on the east coast were a version that were smaller than the ones that grow to fame in coastal California.
