I had never heard this term before although I think I pretty much knew the concept. I don’t recall seeing much here or on GW in the past regarding this. Thought I’d post this video on the subject.

Apical dominance is what one maintains to establish a central leader tree, so we discuss it a lot albeit without the fancy name. I do like the term- it sounds so masterful. I feel powerful just by helping a tree establish it.
yeah…I hear ya’ on the "sounding masterful’. We’re really going to have to start throwing that term around here.
