Late winter planted small trees on M111
Leafing out nicely
Have read a lot, but is there a nice timeline of tasks to do/things to look for during the year? I’d rather not waste my time recreating one!
I know dormant spray during winter.
What to watch for when leafing out?
When do pests and disease show up?
Etc.
Just point me in the right direction.
5 small trees in small suburban backyard. High desert. DRY. Prefer a light hand for any chemicals, but not phobic about them.
Thank you in advance.

PM @HighandDry. He’s in Reno and has a nice apple orchard. It’s a great place to grow very high quality apples. You are so dry that about the only pest might be coddling moth. Birds will be an issue.
Well, that might be the answer for me (though I admit I’d prefer a long list, and prune that list myself), but there are 89 other hits on this, so I’ll ask again for them: Suggested location for the long list of “to dos” for the growing year for apples? Again, I’ve read around a bit, but haven’t found something compact-- a list, which has something like: During bloom, check for “symptom of problem”, if your area is prone to “disease XXX”, spray “suggested sprays” or “suggested hack”. Even if it’s not that comprehensive, someplace to start would be nice!
Thanks to those who are knowledgeable and want to show that off a bit!!
