I’ve grown apples in the past on M9, M26, and M111. Also M111 with M9 interstem.
Are the Bud or Geneva rootstocks worthwhile? Do they provide any real advantage in my humid Mid-Atlantic (high chill but high summer heat/humidity) climate?

Thanks for bringing this topic up. Or up again. The Malling or Merton Malling roots form England have been around over half a century, so information on them is plentiful, even if various people disagree about some of their traits.
Geneva roots and Budagovsky roots, the jury is still out from what I can determine, at least in MidAtlantic and Tennessee and Ohio Valleys.
I know I am interested in hearing from more actual owner who have experience.
The G11 is definitely not drought tolerant. That’s my first contribution to this topic.
(And so far I’ve lost zero Bud and Geneva rootstocks in containers sitting outside unprotected during winter…which I have with M111). Zone 6b here.
