Arboreum Co. sale went live 9/11/22 at 5pm ET

Arboreum has a history of listing peaches that they have sold previously that they do not make available every year. In other words even though they show it on the web site it does not mean it was available for sale this year. I have bought from them in the past and love my Greensboro peach. Looked at the cost of shipping, $93 for one tree to Virginia this year. That is outrageous and a scam. They can keep there trees.

I just doubled down at Arboreum. Sometime in the last day they posted an offering of Prunus brigantina, the Marmot plum or Marmottier. It is still listed after my order in case anyone else is interested.

Never heard of this fruit. Is it used mainly for preserves?

Arboreum says the French use it that way. Scarcely a mention of it online though I did find one that shows it as zone 6-9 hardy in the US. Both Arboreum and the other site say the texture is like an apricot. I’m intending it for hybridizing so it broadens my gene pool.

Nuts second year in a row missed it.

It’s usually held shortly after Labor Day.
