Are there any rust free garlic varieties?

I’m in bay area, California in an area that gets some fog year-round and so I have trouble with garlic rust. Last year I aggressively thinned the leaves and still got garlic but the cloves never got very big. I’m looking for a variety that is more resistant to rust. Are there any varieties that I can purchase?

I never heard of a rust resistant strain. A couple leeks I heard were resistant. Nothing is approved for use I know of but sulfur or lime sulfur may help. Don’t ever water leaves, keep water on roots if possible. Plant in a different area too if possible. Rust will be in old spot for 3 years. Good luck!
