My long term goal of growing citrus on a larger scale in Kansas is hard to bring to fruition. My current plan is to use the south side of my 5 acre pond. I would use water from 10+ feet depth in the pond to water the citrus. I would use an automatic watering system so if i got snowed out of the location for a month it would still be ok on its own. The problem is my luck with greenhouses historically has been a less than favorable outcome.
This is what i would model the operation after
Anyone have additional suggestions?
