Babcock Peach in zone 6

I’m really interested in Babcock peach. I grew up eating this type and wanted to try it in my area. The nurseries in california labeling it as zone 8 or 7. I’m wondering if it’s because it blooms too early or is it not hardy at all?
Anyone try it in cold climate such as zone 6?

I’m in zone 5b/6a and my Babcock has survived two winters. It’s only getting bigger so I assume it’s cold hardiness will only increase. Mind you, I wrap all my peaches in a frost blanket until they become too big to do that. It’s probably not necessary but I love my orchard and take extra precaution just because we have had some strange weather the last few years, and I’m paranoid of that random freak winter!
