Google just updated the aerial pictures of my property. Here is the lower orchard where I started planting fruit and continues to be a loosely organized assortment of fruit trees. Looks like I took out more trees then I planted there. As image quality improves its really neat to go back and look at how and orchard develops. I would enjoy seeing some google earth pictures of your orchards.
That’s great, much better use of space!
My backyard contained a tennis court and weeds when I bought it. Now has over 100 fruit trees in 1/3 acre.
Here is a satellite shot from 2011:
Here is a drone shot I took last week, since the satellite imagery is still a couple years out of date.
Don’t forget to look at Bing maps Birdseye view for low altitude aerial photography. Many times it’s better than googles best
That’s impressive joe. It looks like it was no small task to clear those large trees.
AS TO BING: The Bings map photo for my place is at least 9 yrars old.
AS TO GOOGLE MAPS: The current photo was taken at an angle that warps the most important portion… the orchard. Is there some setting that brings up an archive of previoud versions?
Guess I’ll have to “dronepic” myself.
Mike
Yes it’s hit or miss. THe pic of my home is about 2 years old. I have a drone with a GoPro attached so I’ll have to take it up and snap some pics.
Looks like I will do the same.
My drone was gift and is still in the box. So… Another thing on my “to do” list.
Will I ever catch up?
My head keeps writing checks that my time won’t allow me to cash.
