Biannual Plum

I am positive my Splash Pulot is about to take a year off. Anyone else experience Biannually in a plum tree?

I have euros that do it.

Yes, when they overbear, they usually take a year off. I have only seen it with pluots. Proper thinning should prevent it. Although some may do it anyway? I have not grown them long enough to tell.

Virtually all of the wood that fruit last year have no flowers this year. However some of the new wood that did not flower in the canopy are flowering this year. Maybe 15% of flowers the previous year.

I believe part of the effect of overbearing. Been there, done that.

My splash is going to have a hard time pollinating the flavor queen next to it but fortunately I think the shiro should wake up tomorrow.
