Is this some kind of Apple scab? It is mainly on my Spitzenburg, Fuji and Dorsett Golden grafts that were put in last year.

My pears sometimes show leaf edge browning early in the season; it is usually due to dry windy conditions. I believe apples can react similarly, but have not seen it myself.
Other possible causes are over fertilization and high salt levels in the soil.
Other folks may have more ideas.

Thanks, that is the answer I was hoping for. I don’t fertilize very much and I think the salt level is fine as nothing else in that same area seems to be affected. It has been dry and windy however.
