Hi again everyone. My young apples are showing these blemishes. These are the worst ones. Some are slightly blemished (see below) and some not at all.
The Zestar apples about 20 feet away have no problems.
I am wondering if the birds are pecking on them, due to this one apple:
But I have not seed the birds pecking at them, and I do have some bird scare tape up.
Any one have any other ideas? Thanks so much Peggy
The bottom pic is bird damage. The top looks somewhat that way but it’s unusual to have the damage on the bottom side. The middle doesn’t look like birds. So I’m at a loss about the top two. I’ve seen lots of bird and hail damage and those don’t really look like either.
