Block ants with duct tape

I hadn’t considered the púca. :upside_down_face:
They sound similar to a ‘Mischievian’!

And now for something completely different…
Consider that ants likely do more good than harm.
They are voracious predators.
Your probably could not design a better one ?
Think of how much ground ( and every single branch , the smallest twig ) they search for something to eat.
Surly they eat a lot of things we see as pest.
Really they are in charge . Their biomass exceeds most other animal life forms .
One of the few other animals that are truly farmers !
I find them fascinating.
Really, except in the house, the only fruit they really bother here are over ripe figs, which usually means I am a day late picking or missed some last time.
So at least consider they “may do “ more good than harm.
Just sayin

I use old nylon stockings held with a safety pin and tanglefoot reapplied every spring. Have stayed on for ten years. No more ants and aphids. Have to watch for them building bridges across with long blades of grass.

Alas, I learnt that the hard way. It brutalized so many of my trees. It should have a surgeon general warning on the can. :disappointed:
