I’ll be picking them by the bushel in a week or so. There are plenty of beans on the bush dry varieties but the pole snap beans are just now getting into production.
We are eating new potatoes, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, onions, radishes, squash, and english peas. We will have tomatoes, beans, and pepper in the next few weeks. Sweet corn, okra, cucumbers, watermelons, and cantaloupes will be along in about 4 to 6 weeks. At the end of the September, I hope to harvest a crop of peanuts.
We’re going to try finally planting ours this week! The soil has been too cold until now.
Ah, yes, I remember those! Maybe one day this year mine will sprout!
Sooo sweet!
We just had a mess of green beans picked today cooked with potatoes.
