Brown on tip of young plum tree branch

Hi I noticed that the tips of three branches of a young plum tree have turned brown and appear dead. I placed the plum tree in the ground last fall. Is this something I should be concerned about? I have attached a picture. Thanks for any advice.

I think that may be normal. I have it with some of my trees too. I prune it back to alive wood, which you can tell by the green cambium under the bark.
