This picture is of a M111 base that only had a small amount of roots. I went ahead and whip grafted it with Bud 9 and for about two months it didn’t look like it would survive but finally it took off and is now about 30" high. This coming spring I will probably add an apple variety to the top but the leaves of the Bud 9 are attractive enough to me to look great incorporated into your landscape. Bill
