The cutting looked rotted at the bottom but for some reason I found sap leaking from the wounds of it does this mean it is a success?
No way to tell. I have managed to keep romance cherry cuttings alive for 6 months or so but eventually they all end up dying. As I said before; on the other hand root cuttings are downright trivial to get them to thrive.

Is there a reason for the sap leaking, it seemed dry a few days ago, now green sap started leaking, I am hoping that sap means a start to a root system
