Careful where you plant groundnut

i made the mistake of planting my Kennebec groundnut under the pergola in between my 2 arctic hardy kiwis. them buggers are sending up shoots in a 6ft. wide area trying to climb my kiwi instead of the wire fence i gave them… they like to run under the mulch so are easy to pull up. been transplanting the invaders all over the property under my big red pines. soon ill have a jungle of groundnuts coming up everywhere. threw some tubers to the chics and they really like them.

Horse radish got loose on me. Thought I had it contained in those big walmart tubs. The root got through my drain holes and really dug in. Now they sit on thick tarps.

i once cut a bunch of horseradish leaves to use in sheet mulch. i laid them down under several inches of fall leaves. they started to root and push growth. luckily it was nearly winter.
