Most look fine, but a few are blooming on 2” stems.

I’ve had this happen the first year after planting but I’ve never noticed after. I always wondered if I damaged the bulb somehow? I hope we get an answer!
Could that happen if the bulb was planted a little deep? (Just guessing.)
Maybe, I’m always pretty careful and don’t normally plant very deep but everyone makes mistakes.
BG, Just wondering when those bulbs were planted? Have seen this occur on bulbs that were left out the ground for too long and planted way after the ideal time in Autumn. Randy/GA

Not particularly.
BG, Just a guess…have had this with clearance daffodils planted way later than usual. Also had this on rare occasions which made me wonder if these are symptoms of a viral infection of some sort? Hopefully an expert can chime in with a better diagnosis! Randy/GA
