I have 2 Celeste fig trees and many are still the size of a quarter. I do not have a greenhouse. Can someone please suggest if I can keep them indoors to get these babies to ripen. Also when and how should I do this? thx! ps: I am in Z6
You can move the pots onto the cement patio or drive way to get the extra heat of the surface of the cement and that will help ripen them a little earlier.

thx tonyOmahaz5. Is there a way I can extend season indoors? I have T5 lamps.
You can try the West facing windows with T5 lamps as an additional light source.

I love Celeste fig, very sweet and productive. Maybe cover them up with a sheet of plastic to retain the heat might speed up the process of fruits ripen. Some said rub some olive oil on the eye may speed up, some said strip off leafs and figlets might helps speed up as well. I did striped some leafs off a week or so ago to make tea, some figs did suddenly grew. But I am not expert, and did not grow fig long enough to collect larger enough data to conclude. Only to share what happened in my backyard.
Yes Celeste is very productive but I find that the rate at which the fruit grow is very slow. Not sure if anyone else finds this? thx!
