Hello,
I have a fuji apple tree in my home garden, and it produces a lot of fruit. The problem is that even if it seems the apples are ripe (they taste sweet and are the proper color). There is a very chalky aftertaste that feels like it coats your whole mouth. You can only taste it after you chew and swallow a bite. I was wondering if I could get some help as to what might be causing this? Thank you!
Are the seeds black/dark brown? That is a better indication than skin color.
Where are you located? Tell us about your climate, soil, watering, etc,

Sounds like they are starchy and perhaps not quite ripe yet.
