Not sure what I was thinking the “female” part was going to do away from the plant.
Perhaps I spent too much time on social media today.
But I have two Osage Orange clumps that no longer have grafts on them. Got me scheming. Not sure what got the one, but it turns out being run over by a runaway riding mower is not healthy for the other one even if it is no longer cutting.

Actually - This is the first year I am achieving fruit growing out to maturity! I probably retained ~15% with the rest to fruit drop - but still exciting! One of them started to finally give a little when squeezed - so im excited to try it for the first time! Crazy how ive been growing this for as long as I have just so I can get to see if I like the fruit or not!
