I am about to begin potting up seeds that are producing a radicle. I know I have 2 months for growth in the greenhouse space I have permission to use. I will bring to adjust them to full sun after that.
I am looking for info about chestnut orchard irrigation systems:
-setups
-costs
-other??
Thanks in advance!!

Nor sure about Chestnuts, but commercial peach peach growers in my area use 3/4 inch poly hose and micro- sprinklers.
The micro-sprinklers use about 10 GPH of filtered water. 1000 feet of tubing cost about $120 and the microsprinklers are about $10. You also need a screen filter and pressure regulator if you are using clean water. Lots of expensive filtration required with pond water.
https://www.berryhilldrip.com/ will send you a free catalog
EDIT: You could start with 1 GPH emitters when the trees are small and replace the emitters with the microsprinklers when they get larger. I don’t grow chestnuts, but I’m guessing the water is more important to get the trees growing well than once the trees are established
