CHESTNUT ORCHARD planting

Hello, chestnut farmers!

We have officially put 300 trees (Chinese hybrids) in the ground and now getting our tubes placed on them. (still have about 20 or so seedlings to get in the ground)

We currently have about 1200-1500 Qing seeds stratifying and hope to have them planted starting late fall '20 and into early spring '21.
We also have about 600+ seeds stratifying from a set of 50+ yr old chestnut trees we found. The nuts are medium to medium/large size, but they have an excellent sweet flavor to them. And they only get better with some curing or setting in the fridge for a month.

I do have a question. We are going to be planting all of them on the same farm. What would some of you recommend in terms of planting proximity to the other sets of trees? Should we create a large area between the different types to prevent crossover? or just plant alongside in a normal grid next to the other types?

You should probably remove your phone number and PM it to him. No telling what kind of internet weirdo might see it.
