Citrus graft in the middle of heatwave!

One of my very first heatwave T-bud survivor. It was 106F followed by century marks or nearly so the succeeding ten days and it survived. I am ready to force this one before Jackfrost comes for a visit so I marcotted the top part. I don’t recommend grafting citruses during the heatwaves but I have no choice on this one. To increase my chances, I acclimated the scionwood at room temperature for a day and soaked it in 250 ppm IBA hormone. I then T-budded the following early morning and covered the union with aluminum foil while allowing indirect light. This is the first time that I am successful grafting in the middle of a summer heatwave!

@Girly donated the scionwood. Now we have a backup!
