I suspect here they will wind up chewed up in a purple pile of bird droppings here in Kansas. We have hundreds of birds out there this year.
It just hasnāt found it yet I assume. I saw two leaf hoppers just yesterday on my Thomcord. Donāt know how long it takes to infect and show
Depending on the susceptiblity of the cultivar and the intensity of infection pressure, it can show up as soon as the end of the first season in the ground or as late as 4-5 years. In my area most suceptible types will show serious die back in the second or third season, some labruscas will last a year or two longer.
Do you see many robins? They could become a problem later on. I had them and found that not much could be done other than to switch varieties to something that they preferred not to eat.
Not many, they can eat all they want Iām not concerned.
robins loved my marquette grape. they wiped me out last year but didnt touch the honeyberries or cherries right next to it.
Whoa, thatās a lot of plants. Would you be willing to send scionwood this winter from a few of those?
I will have to see how they grow. Hopefully yes! There are over 200+ grape vines in the ground
I got to tell you guys that if you prune your grapes wrong, etc, you will wind up with sour grapes. My mom dislikes other peopleās grapes. A big part of why I grow grapes is because she loves them and they are very healthy for her. As a person over 80 years old person she is doing very well.
Definitely. A grape vine will overset and be unable to properly ripen the load.
Being greedy for more fruit produces less desirable fruit, not just grapes.
