I just found a gallon bag of blueberries from 2 years ago. Think i can still cook them into a compote or will it be gross?

Ive used frozen fruit from 5 years ago, and it’s been fine in any mixed recipe that doesn’t rely on texture.

I made elderberry syrup with same day harvested berries and did not care one bit for it. I don’t think being frozen a few years would have helped.
